Because I'm pissed off. It has become harder and harder for regular people just to get by, while billionaires are allowed to do whatever they want with impunity. I worked on Wall Street and watched the banks get bailed out while working families got sold out. So I quit, joined Occupy Wall Street, and spent the next decade pushing our government to rein in financial firms and Big Tech. I was honored to work at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where I was a proud union member (CFPB Union NTEU 335) and co-sponsored a resolution demanding an end to the Biden administration's support of the genocide in Gaza. I spent every day keeping American consumers from being ripped off by financial companies -- until Donald Trump fired me for standing up to DOGE.I've spent my entire career becoming an expert in how the system works. Now I'm running for Congress to make it work for Maryland's 6th.

They retaliated against me, but I’m still fighting with my former colleagues to save the CFPB.

I quit and joined Occupy Wall Street. In 2022, I was honored to join the very regulator created to address the failings of the financial crisis and ensure that American consumers are no longer an afterthought: the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.I swore an oath on my first day to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.&nbsp; I take that oath of office seriously.
